The history of this page...
It's taken me a long time, but I've finally managed to build my second website. My first website was built back in 2002. It was my first attempt at HTML, which I had picked up by reading different tutorials on the web. Back then I used MS-FrontPage to help me in creating the pages, and at the same time, downloaded some webpage templates from the web to help me in the design of the pages. Well... yes, there wasn't a 100% contribution from me, but it sure helped me learn the basics in a good way! (and that includes managing to remember some of the tag names and their attributes)
Since then, I'v been looking and learning from the different designs that I encounter on the web; and I must say, some designs are so impressive! I then tried my hand at using tables for creating webpages... well... that's history now!
I understood that CSS was the way to go, and decided to learn more about that! There's so much you can do with CSS to make a website look nice and presentable, and after using it a few times, it just seems logical and you wonder why you haven't been using it before! What I also learnt was that different browsers render CSS code differently - to their taste maybe! That becomes very frustrating once you start to base your page layout only on CSS, as I've experienced myself! But nothing to fear, as there's lots of good websites to give people like me the help they need! My thanks and appreciation to them!
